151 sitting lawmakers across India, out of 755 MPs and 3,938 MLAs analyzed, have declared cases related to crimes against women. A party-wise breakdown, sourced and verified directly from ADR's own report.

This is a separate dataset from the Lok Sabha crime map. This page covers a specific serious-crime category (crimes against women, including rape) across a much wider population than the 18th Lok Sabha: 755 sitting MPs (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) and 3,938 sitting MLAs nationwide. It is not directly comparable to the Lok Sabha criminal-cases dataset: different scope, different source report, different population size. Of 151 lawmakers with declared cases in this category, 135 are MLAs and 16 are MPs; 16 have declared cases specifically under rape charges (IPC 376). These are cases filed, not convictions; under Indian law, an accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Every figure here was independently verified against ADR's own published PDF report, not taken from a secondary source.
